MOKSHA YOGA CLASSESThe word yoga stems from the sanskrit word 'yuj' which means to bring together and that's exactly what we aim to provide at Moksha. We approach yoga and health holistically and endeavour to meet the needs of each person individually recognising that each person is unique. YOGA CLASS DESCRIPTIONSGentle Yoga ClassA gentle Yoga class delivered at a moderate pace to relax and restore the body and calm the mind by working with gentle vinyasa sequences (asana), a variety of breathing practices (pranayama) and deep relaxation techniques. A good class to start with if you are new to Yoga or are yet to complete the Introduction to Yoga Beginners Course or for those managing injuries or looking for rehabilitation. This class is great to add to your schedule if you are attending the general classes or for those wishing to take time out, relax and feel re-energised. General Yoga ClassIntended for those who have prior Yoga experience or who have completed our Level 1 Introduction to Yoga Beginners Course. The class is taught in a traditional hatha vinyasa style offering variations of postures to suit every body so that you get the most out of your individual practice. We explore a variety of vinyasa sequences whilst incorporating breathing practices to develop and move you deeper into your practice. We also incorporate a variety of relaxation techniques to support you to settle into that blissful state that Yoga provides at the end of your practice. Dynamic Yoga ClassIntended for those who have prior Yoga experience or who have completed our Level 2 Intermediate Yoga Course. This class is taught using a strong vinyasa (flowing form) style and is suitable for those looking to experience a more challenging practice. The class explores a variety of challenging vinyasa sequences so expect to sweat!!! We aim to support you to develop a consistent Yoga practice which is the key to experiencing Yoga in all forms, whilst challenging both the body and mind and is a great class to help you move deeper into your practice. Pre-Natal Yoga ClassPrenatal Yoga classes at Moksha will support you to experience a nurturing and restorative practice whilst preparing your changing body throughout your pregnancy and for the experience of childbirth. This class places an emphasis on asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing) techniques for pregnancy and labour, gentle stretching and strengthening of relevant muscle groups as well as incorporating relaxation techniques to assist you in the process of establishing healthy sleeping cycles, support digestion, strengthening the immune system as well as allowing the body to feel relaxed and renewed after each practice. Mums & Bubs Yoga ClassThe Mums & Bubs Yoga Classes are designed to help you rebalance your body after pregnancy, regain strength and flexibility and to deepen the existing bond you have with your baby in a relaxing environment aswell as providing you with an opportunity to meet other new Mums. Each class will cover postures for both you and your baby. The intention of this course is to focus on Yoga postures with an emphasis on strengthening your abdomen, pelvic floor and spinal column to relieve tension and tightness from the body. There is no expectation for your baby to behave in a certain way during the class and if you need to feed or change your baby during the class, you are more than welcome to do so. This course is suitable for babies aged from 8 weeks to 9 months. Please ensure that your Health Care Practitioner has provided you with consent to begin exercising again post natally. The classes are held in 10 weeks blocks and you are welcome to join any time subject to availability and we also welcome casual attendance if you would like to try the class first. Private Yoga ClassThe Private Yoga classes have been designed to work with you on a one on one basis and to provide you with individual tuition with a Yoga program to meet your individual needs based on your holistic Yoga requirements. Private classes can either enhance your existing practice, support you through rehabilitation from injury or surgery or simply support you with your asana alignment and practice as a whole at a time that fits in with your schedule. MOKSHA YOGA RETREAT 2010 - INFO COMING SOON!!MOKSHA YOGA COURSESLevel 1 Introduction to Yoga Beginners Course - Starts 13th January 2010This course continues to be a much sought after Yoga Course, designed specifically for those who wish to cover the basics of yoga postures (asana), breathing practices (pranayama) and relaxation (Yoga Nidra). The course also includes a copy of the Intro to Yoga Manual and a complimentary yoga class to be used prior to the final session of the course. The course runs for 1.25 hours over 5 consecutive weeks. Places for this course fill fairly quickly therefore registration and payment is required prior to course commencement. Level 2 Intermediate Yoga Course - Starts 17th February 2010The Intermediate Yoga Course has been created as a follow on course from the Level 1 Introduction to Yoga Beginners Course and is suitable for those who would like to deepen the knowledge of their existing Yoga practice. We will identify and breakdown each pose within the vinyasa sequence and work on building internal and external strength to achieve the postures with alignment and stability. We will also include the practical application of more intermediate postures for you to integrate into your own practice whilst applying a range of pranayama techniques to support you as your practice deepens. The course runs for 1.25 hours over 5 consecutive weeks and you are provided with a course manual to support you during and after the course. This course is suitable for those having completed the Introduction to Yoga Beginners Course or for students who have developed a regular Yoga practice. Contact us to find out the details of our next Intermediate Yoga Course Journey Through the Chakras - Starts 23rd February 2010This course is created to guide you through the chakra system, understand their physical and energetic properties, the history of healing through the chakra system and how the chakras can be rebalanced through the practice of Asana. This course runs for 7 consecutive weeks for 1.25 hours each week and is suitable for students who are either new to the charka system or who have existing knowledge and wish to learn more. Asana Alignment Course - Starts 6th May 2010This course focuses on specific sets of postures and learning ways that enhance correct and safe postural alignment in order for you to experience maximum benefit from the posture/practice. This course runs for 1.25 hours hour over 5 consecutive weeks. Dynamic Sunrise Vinyasa - Starts 11th February 2010Join us for the Dynamic Sunrise Vinyasa Yoga Course held on Thursday mornings for 6 consecutive weeks from 6-7.15am. This is a great time to deepen and dedicate some time for your practice in the early hours, considered to be one of the most effective times to practice as it boosts the energy for the rest of the day and makes you feel alive and inspired for having made the commitment to your practice. This course is suitable for students who have established or would like to establish a consistent morning Yoga practice or have completed or due to complete either our Level 1 or 2 Moksha Yoga Course. MOKSHA YOGA MASTER CLASSNext Master Class 31st January 2010The Moksha Yoga Master Classes are held on the last Sunday of every month from 1-5.30pm and are designed for all Yoga Teachers/Teacher Trainees/Yoga Students from any lineage or school wishing to continue their learning in an environment that considers your existing knowledge and practice of Yoga. MOKSHA YOGA INTENSIVESNext Intensive 12th February 2010The Moksha Yoga Intensives are held on the 2nd Friday of every month from 6-9pm, focusing on different themes each month and consist of 3 hours of Yoga including chanting, 1.5-2 hours of asana practice, pranayama, philosophy, savasana, meditation and music that will make you feel alive as the rhythm of prana flows through every part of your being!
