– WITH MARIA PAPADONTAS
Join Maria for a very special Open Evening to learn all about our Somatic Based Trauma Yoga Teacher Training and have all your questions answered!
We’d love to meet you face-to-face at Moksha and the event will also be made available to join live and interactive in our Virtual Studio for those who can’t make it to the studio in-person – either way, registration is essential.
Our Somatic Based Trauma Yoga Teacher Training with Maria Papadontas offers an invaluable toolkit for Yoga or Meditation Teachers (qualified or in training) looking to enhance their teaching skills with a comprehensive understanding into the complex strata of trauma so many individuals are bringing with them to the Yoga mat, an awareness of its potential triggers at the physical, energetic, emotional and psychological levels, and the ability to confidently facilitate both Trauma Informed and Trauma Responsive Yoga classes. It’s also ideal for Allied Health professionals wanting to incorporate effective mind-body work into the treatment program of trauma survivors.
Over 110 hours you’ll explore the holistic anatomy, theoretical underpinnings and practical methodologies of Trauma Informed Yoga (Module I), before delving beyond these foundations into how Yoga can impact those who have experienced complex or developmental trauma by understanding the neuroscience, interoception and emotional processing of trauma that will equip you to develop and facilitate Somatic Based Trauma Responsive Yoga classes (Module II).
Don’t miss your chance to be part of our final training for 2021 – commencing 2 July!
Early Bird Special Rate ends 14 June. Payment instalments are also available.
With a career in Social Work spanning over 22 years, Lead Educator Maria Papadontas brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and compassion from working with a vast array of survivors of complex and developmental trauma – including individuals who have significant criminal justice involvement, extensive offending histories, intergenerational trauma, alcohol and other substance abuse, homelessness, mental health issues, sexual exploitation, child abuse and human trafficking.
