THE AWAKENING

– A YOGA INTENSIVE WITH EMMA PALMER

“Once the Soul awakens, the search begins, and you can never go back. From then on, you are inflamed with a special longing that will never again let you linger in the lowlands of complacency and partial fulfillment. The eternal makes you urgent. You are loath to let compromise, or the threat of danger hold you back from striving toward the summit of fulfillment.” – John O’Donohue

The path to our own awakening can at times feel quite lonely, confusing and isolating – but once the Soul awakens, we can never turn back. And your awakening has been a calling you have heard your entire life…

There is a certain amount of courage and discernment required from us to walk the conscious path of a Yogi toward Self-Realization and Self-Actualisation. The route to our birthright of freedom and liberation is a cobbled, uneven and often unstable road, and make no mistake – it is not an easy one to tread. In fact, it may seem far simpler to follow the herd, ask no questions and blindly carry on. Yet that would ultimately be a far more painful choice for the Yogi who has heard the calling that there is much more to our existence than what we see on the surface.

“Enlightenment is a destructive process. It has nothing to do with becoming better or being happier. Enlightenment is the crumbling away of untruth. It’s seeing through the facade of pretence. It’s the complete eradication of everything we imagined to be true.” – Adyashanti

A being who strives for their own experience of awakening is known as a Bodhisattva. The ancient traditions of Yoga refer to our awakening as Bodhi, meaning wisdom or knowledge and taking its roots from the word ‘budh’ – meaning to awaken. Our true awakening requires a raw honesty to confront all aspects of ourselves that are unreal, allowing all our false beliefs to be destroyed and the truth of our existence to be fully revealed and realised. In the words of Adyashanti, “To seek the truth, we must tear down the lies”.

Our spiritual awakening is the time of our rebirth, and this first Yoga Intensive for 2019 is an opportunity to awaken the qualities of the Bodhisattva and align with the path to your highest truth. Join Emma Palmer for a liberating Yoga journey of inner discovery to awaken the true aspects of Self that are no longer willing to live in the shadows, as we move the Prāṇa through the layers of your being with a carefully crafted Krama of Āsana, Prāṇāyāma, Mudrā, Dhyāna (meditation), Prārthanā (prayer), Mantra (chanting) and a guided Śavāsana of sound healing.

“You are already that which you seek” – Ramana Maharshi
