With the arrival of spring, our own innate connection to the cycles of nature begin to awaken a zest of enlivenment and enthusiasm to explore the fresh possibilities that await us in the new season of life to come.
The poetic words Emma composed on “The Blessings of Germination” to ignite the energy of our spring Yoga Intensive remind and inspire us that it is only by wholeheartedly embracing the uncertainty of the path ahead do we open ourselves to receive the fullness of its teachings and new wonders.

“The backpack’s packed, water bottles filled, comfy shoes laced and my compass faces East
The way of the adventurer has been ignited by the promise that my best is still yet to come
Every cell filled with an enthusiasm and excitement for the possibilities yet to germinate and take root.
Embarking on the road less travelled we stand ready for a journey the Divine would have us navigate
Leaving the zone of comfort and courageously stepping into a world of uncertainty and discomfort
Where the only prediction is that of unpredictability
The sole place where the teachings of new imaginings, hope and new life are born.
Show me the way to create a cobbled road for my feet to tread, less walk another’s path
Each stone a blessing and a prayer to carry me beyond my own understanding
Where my own fears concave my vulnerable yet open heart
In the face of my fears, the ancient hidden mantras rise as incantations of a devotion I have never forgotten.
Curb my pushy and impatient desires to have all the answers yesterday
Instead let me take this adventure as the vulnerable yet passionate explorer I am
I ask you to guide me to the midway section where the crossroads merge
And let the song of my Soul show me the way.
Show me everything, even the fragmented and fractious experiences I would rather not grasp
Because I have walked those painful paths before and my brave Soul is ready
Remind me of the simple things, the small things, the unbreakable things that only truly matter
I have faith to keep my heart ever open, because you hold it in your trusted hands
So open that it feels the weight and density of a drifting Angel’s feather.
Tend these vast experiences and manifestations of this heavenly garden like an experienced botanist
Where the light of the true Self is interested only on its capacity to shine in its own divine reverie
Because this seed, this time of germination is now!
And so it is…”
